Drive-in at the Nanton Grain Elevators! Check out this evening of family-friendly films projected on the side of a prairie icon. Starting at 8 pm (or shortly after, as soon as it's dark enough), you'll be treated to 40 minutes of fun short films from the Calgary Animated Objects Society followed by a classic, The NeverEnding Story. The NeverEnding Story 1984, 1h 42m On his way to school, Bastian (Barret Oliver) ducks into a bookstore to avoid bullies. Sneaking away with a book called "The Neverending Story," Bastian begins reading it in the school attic. The novel is about Fantasia, a fantasy land threatened by "The Nothing," a darkness that destroys everything it touches. The kingdom needs the help of a human child to survive. When Bastian reads a description of himself in the book, he begins to wonder if Fantasia is real and needs him to survive. Rating: PG Contains disturbing scenes that might frighten young children.
